About the Hub

YorEnergy has a number of suppliers that undertake different measures within Retrofit for our customers. These measures include the installation of solar panels and batteries,  heat pumps, insulation, glazing, upgraded doors, draught proofing, EV charging and smart controls. We are driving a demand for consumers to undertake a number of measures to their homes and are looking to grow our number of suppliers to undertake the installation of these home improvement measures.

Make your home better

What do air source heat pumps look like and where will they fit in your house?

There is a bit of the heat pump that goes outside your house. These often look like a slightly larger air conditioning unit that you might see on buildings when you go abroad. They typically sit on the ground attached to one of your exterior walls (see picture)

There is also a set of pipes and other equipment that sits inside your home. A typical internal heat pump set up can fit into a space 1m wide x 1m long x 2m high.
