Our Community Champions are dedicated individuals in the local area that are passionate about helping others improve their homes through retrofitting. Retrofitting homes is well and truly underway in York with a number of people having already undertaken measures to improve their home. The Community Champions are able to give a first hand encounter of their experience. They are knowledgeable in a wide range of topics, including energy efficiency, sustainable living practices, and integrating renewable energy solutions. Our Community Champions are trained and provided by York Community Energy.
These champions form a knowledgeable and supportive network in your local community and are on hand to talk you through their experience or even show you around their retrofitted home.

Our Community Champions are peers in the community that will help to provide the support and understanding you want and can help answer any questions or concerns you may have. They are a community of individuals that support you to get started on your retrofit journey.

We have Community Champions from a range of different areas and circumstances across the York area. We are keen to find you someone to engage with who can share similar experiences to you and who will be able to help you understand your options.

Our Retrofit Champions are highly knowledgeable in Retrofit and Climate issues and are advocates for sustainability. They can talk you through their experience of getting a retrofit as well as the many benefits of having your home retrofitted.
